Ocean Montenegro d.o.o.
Ocean Montenegro d.o.o., formerly Pomorski poslovi d.o.o., is the concessionaire for pilotage, mooring and towing in the Port of Bar.
The company is part of the Ocean Group of Trieste. The group’s core business is towing in the ports of Trieste, Monfalcone, Porto Nogaro, Koper and Bar. The group is headquartered in Trieste, with branches in Slovenia, Montenegro and Kazakhstan.
The company grew out of a former Port of Bar department and was privatised in 2010 through a public tender, when it was taken over by the consortium of Interlog d.o.o. Bar and Ocean S.r.l. of Trieste. Since then, investment in the fleet and organisation has significantly raised the quality and safety of port services in Bar.
Under the concession agreement, in force since 22 October 2010 for a period of 30 years, the Government of Montenegro entrusted the company with port services for all vessels entering the Port of Bar. The company employs 35 people.

The Port of Bar
The Port of Bar is Montenegro’s largest port and the only one with a rail link to the hinterland. It handles ro-ro ships, bulk carriers and container ships, and Ocean Montenegro is alongside each of them when they arrive, berth and depart.
